About Us
How it Started
The Holden family are life long horse lovers whom fell in love with the gentle giants thanks to one shire filly, Java. She started our passion for the shire breed and we have now raised multiple babies to be amazing driving horses both for pleasure and for show. Our herd has grown so much, we moved from Southern California to Minden, Nevada to start our Raised Right Ranch journey.
Owner/Driver of CVC
Born a true animal lover, Carlee Reimer is the owner and main driver of Carson Valley Carriage. Being the daughter of the Holden family, her love for horses and animals was encouraged and she has been very successful with her career. She is a professional horse trainer, earning numerous championships and awards in many equine disciplines and has also trained animals for the entertainment industry. One of her greatest memories is taking her full shire, Rosie, to elite dressage shows and proving any breed can be successful in dressage. Dressage and driving horses are her favorite and she believes the two disciplines compliment each other perfectly.
In Honor
This business would not be possible if it were not for a few special horses. Java, Lovely Rita, Bailey, and York have had a huge impact on our driving experience and have influenced our younger generation of horses to be as confident and great as they were. York is living the good life of retirement on Raised Right Ranch, but Java, Rita and Bailey have crossed the rainbow bridge. We are so grateful to have raised these babies and have them be the center of our family ranch. They started it all.
